What to Expect When Meeting With Our Foot Health Practitioner

When you come for a visit to our Bournemouth location, you will have a full initial assessment by our foot health practitioner (FHP). During this session, we will talk about your needs and the goals you want to achieve. Our FHP will also assess the condition of your feet.

Once the assessment is complete, our FHP will offer expert advice and support to meet your personal needs. Whether you are coming in for a one time visit to assess a particular ailment or if you are desiring regular appointments to address persistent or chronic problems, we’re here to help.

Before and after any treatment, every patient’s feet are cleansed with antiseptic. Routine appointments include a foot health check, and our FHP offers advice suited to your personal needs. If needed, toenails are burred and trimmed, corns are removed, and calluses reduced. If further treatment is required, our FHP will discuss it with you prior to proceeding; further treatments are charged separately. If time allows following treatment, patients receive a gentle relaxing foot massage using hydrating and moisturising foot cream. We will then advise you of next steps, including preventative measures. Note that further treatments may be required, and this will be discussed with our FHP prior to the conclusion of your appointment.
